Biography
Zoe has been working in the finance industry for almost a decade and has become one of the most highly qualified financial advisers in the UK. She is sought after for speaking opportunities and her specialism as a later life adviser.
She stumbled into this career when she had her daughter and needed a job that didn't require weekend work. Despite having no prior knowledge of finance and believing that it was only for millionaires and stockbrokers, Zoe quickly realised that financial advice is needed by everyone, especially during major life events such as death, birth, marriage, retirement, illness, or long-term care.
Zoe combines her technical financial knowledge with empathy and a desire to help people achieve great outcomes. She started by becoming Diploma qualified but continued studying to achieve Chartered and Fellowship status with the CII, the most prestigious level of professional achievement in the area. She also achieved a Distinction graded master's degree in finance, researching the cognitive links behind how people make financial decisions under stress.
Zoe has won a national award for her work championing vulnerable clients and is a strong advocate for financial education, volunteering her time to educate workforces, businesses and professionals across Yorkshire.
Aside from her financial career, Zoe adores holidaying with her family and is the Chair of a scrutiny board and an enthusiastic but untalented landscape photographer.
